About Prerna Kendra

Prerna Kendra is an education programme of the Centre for Nurturing Leaders (CNL), a registered not for profit organisation. It provides free learning support to children living in Azad Nagar, Gharsari, Yogi Chaura, and Shaktinagar in Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, many of whom are often left out of the regular school system. The centre currently supports more than 150 children through daily evening classes that focus on studies, discipline, values, and personality development. Every weekend, children take part in creative learning, moral education, group activities, and skill based sessions that support their all round growth. Prerna Kendra is registered under Section 12A and Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. In the long term, the programme aims to reach more communities in need and build a strong foundation for children who wish to create a better future. The Prerna Kendra team works closely with the local community to support children's education and development.
